LM: Good
Me: How was lunch?
LM: Good
Me: Did you have a special today?
LM: Yeah
Me: What was it?
LM: Music
Me: What'd you do in there?
LM: Sing
Me: What'd you have for lunch?
LM: Can't remember
Me: Are you excited to go back tomorrow?
LM: Yup.
So there you have it folks. 1st grade is "Good"
I did finally get a few more details later in the day, such as: They do not do the flag like in KDG, they do have helpers just like KDG, He'll have homework starting next week (he was so excited), they only have one recess (not so excited), He sits next to Jianna again (blah... girls!), oh and all the girls chased him on the playground but don't worry his new Nike's (found them on clearence at the outlet store!!) are faster than all those girls so he couldn't be caught!
So 1st grade IS good!

Aw, I'm glad first grade is SO good! I hope it stays that way. What about squirt? Is he handling first grade okay? haha!
Wow! Back to school already. Aubrey starts KDG in about a week and a half. I have heard of nothing else since about last December when she turned 5! I just know I'm going to get a good 20 minutes of her telling me how her 1st day goes. She loves to tell stories! Good thing Little Man has those Nike's to help him get away from those girls!
Wish i could tell you the conversations get easier and more stimulating as they get older, but they don't always...especially not with the boys. Still have to really pry for the details sometimes. Glad 1st grade is good for him...and that he has fast Nikes. lol
He is just growing up. Hope he has a good year and that you enjoy your time with Squirt.
