Distractions...

I haven't blogged in a while because I've had so many fun distractions...

First, we started with this...
My little "elf" is the one in the green hat in the back row, right in the middle. This is the best shot I could get from the back of a packed gym holding a sleeping toddler in one hand and the camera in another.

Then we did a little of this...
And because we haven't all been together in 5 1/2 years, there's been a lot of this...

And we're having fun with the cutest little girl in the world... Olivia

We're excited to live only 300 miles away, instead of 2000 miles away!

Today Bryce suggested we bust out the DDR Mat, so this is what I caught, Mom, Bryce and Adrienne bustin' a move.

And Little Man giving it a whirl...

I have been having a blast with my family, the last time we were together all in the same room was 5 1/2 years ago for Little Man's blessing, then they all went on missions and to school and we all live in a different state now, so this has been a great time. We took professional pics today and they turned out so good. Maybe one day I'll break out the scanner and put them on here.
Tomorrow is Bryan's wedding, so I'll have more pics to follow. I hope you're all having a great holiday too!

8 years...

Today Hubbie and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary, what did we do to celebrate?? Well, Hubbie slept until noon (he worked all night), then we went to church at 1pm, then got home at 4pm and he left for work at 5pm. I then went to his Granny's house to celebrate her birthday and then I watched Cars with Chasetin and Tanner. Aren't you jealous of my day?? Actually, we are having a completely kid free night on Tuesday, which I am so looking forward to and am completely stumped as to what to do with it. These have been the best 8 years and I'm more in love with him now than I was 8 years ago, he's my absolute best friend.

I love you Hubbie!

Catching up ...again

I took some pics the other day, this was the best I got, at least they were both looking at me.

We've been having alot of fun this year, Squirt is so excited for Christmas, he walks around saying "I can not wait... I can not wait" and I'm probably the only one who understands it, but it's cute. He saw a train in a catalog, it's a Diego- Animal rescuer train and it's all he talks about. and he says things like "When Santa brings me my Choo Choo..." the problem is that Santa is NOT bringing him his Choo Choo. I hope he forgets about it when he opens his other presents. Squirt walked up to me the other day and said "Is Daddy Santa?" I said yup and he said okay and walked away. I don't know where that one came from but it was funny. Little Man does his usual... he fills all the pillowcases in the house and all the stockings with toys and plays Santa over and over again. Phrases that can often be heard are: Little Man where is the remote? Little Man where is my watch? belt, keys... if it's missing there's a good chance it's wrapped somewhere. He's already been told once this year (at school) that there is no Santa, but he blew it off and made a face like the kid was a complete moron. So we dodged that bullet for one more year.

I'll start getting caught up more frequently now, because I have my internet back. I canceled it about 6 weeks ago to save money, my theory here was that I'll just do all my banking, blogging, etc. at work, because I always have time. The problem was that I'd get busy and forget to do things like pay my credit card bill and renew some movies from the library. So in my efforts to save $29.99 a month, I spent about $45 in late fee's. So I gave up and got my internet back. I feel like my long lost friend is back!!

I added a few things below, sorry I've been a little video happy.

Dear Santa...

... our list just grew significantly longer!

When a 5 year old pee's his pants...

On Saturday's I have to bring my kids to work. We have to be here at 7am, So i just pick my kids up out of bed and bring them. If I have enough fore-thought I might bring clothes to change them into, but as I am usually just dragging myself out of bed, that's not very often. We're the only people there on Saturday's so it's just not a big deal. Well today I didn't bring clothes. About an hour into the morning Little Man announces "Mom, I peed my pants" WHAT THE HECK?!?!? Squirt has managed to be accident free for 3 whole days, but HE peed his pants?? Well, I told him he could try and squeeze into some of Squirt's underware (which are the tiniest things you've ever seen) or he could wrap him self in a blanket while his clothes dry. Both of those options were STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!! He chose to just walk around butt naked (he still had his shirt on, but that was not giving the necessary coverage). I mean, Squirt never has clothes on but at least he's still in his diaper/underware. This is just more than anybody needs to see and his pants still aren't dry... He actually told ME that I need to be more prepared next time.

Here's a little video of Squirt talking, sorry, he doesn't have clothes on, but then again he never does.

Now that he's talking we're kindof missing the days of silence. Last night he came out of the bedroom at about 9pm and this was our conversation:
Squirt: Bubby asleep. (that's what he calls Little Man)
Me: okay, go back to bed
Squirt: Mommy, I got talk to you
Me: about what?
Squirt: I hungry

He then stayed out and watched TV with me (he had a really late nap) and every time I laughed he's say "Mommy that funny?" and then he'd start laughing. He's such a sweet little boy!

My most forgiving husband...

I always cut my boys hair because frankly I'm not paying almost $20 for someone to shave my boys head. So a couple months ago Hubbie decided he too was feeling to cheap and let me try it... and I did a great job. Yesterday he asked me to cut his hair, so I got out the clippers and went to town. I was using a '2' on the sides, well because of the layout of our bathroom, I couldn't fit around Hubbie sitting in a chair, so I figured I'd do one side and then the other. So I started with the '2' on one side, then took it off and trimmed the edges with just the bare trimmers. Well I then climbed over him to do the other side (you see where this is going don't you?!?!). Well at that exact moment I heard a crash and a yell from the living room, so I went running to rescue Squirt (nothing too catastrophic happened) and came back picked up the clippers and started shaving. Wait, did you miss the part where I said I took the '2' off?? Yeah, well I didn't put it back on, and started cutting again!!!!!! One good swipe of his hair made me gasp, and then hit the ground, I was laughing (to keep from crying) while Hubbie was turning red in the chair. Once he took a breathe and I regained my composure, he told me I better fix this NOW! So I had to shave all the side (totally buzz cut). I think I made it look good but it is soooo short, like military short. While trying to rescue the situation he says to me "I know it was an accident. I'm not mad." Can you believe that? He wasn't even mad. I mean, if he did that to me I'd have killed him and then told him to pack his bags. To top it all off, we were having dinner with his family that night and everyone that walked in the door was like "Wow, your hair is really short" and then he had to tell them the story. It was pretty awful.
