Vacation

Well we survived our vacation, although just barely! I had to sit in the back with both boys almost the whole trip, my mom took pity on me for a short time, but then Little Man made her tell him stories constantly, finally she was "storied out" and I got the back seat again! Little Man and Squirt were crying for Daddy by like day 2 of our trip (we left Daddy at home). We went to my cousin's wedding in Salt Lake and then up to Idaho. We stayed with a million different people which was nice in some places and not so nice in others. I had to sleep with Squirt for 10 days, he's a kicker! I was not prepared for 43 degree weather, so we froze. And this was kindof funny: I discovered on day 9 of our 10 day trip that I had grabbed 2 conditioners, not a shampoo and conditioner, so I had been using double conditioner for 9 days, no wonder I felt like a grease ball! Sorry to those that I didn't get to visit, my Dad was driving and I just went where I was told to go! Here are some highlites:

Bryce Canyon- totally amazing!

I found Little Man holding hands with my cousins daughter Aubrey, walking down the isle. My cousins Ashlee and Arilee married them, and Little Man (with some heavy encouragement) even kissed her on the cheek. It was pretty funny, but he was very embarresed.

Me and two of my little brothers

The Bride and her mom walking down the isle!

Tractor rides with Grandpa

This one cracked me up- I left both boys sound asleep next to each other in bed, I went to check on them an hour later and this is what I found. Squirt is actually under Little Man's legs, I have no clue how this happened!

Little Man "surfing" down the sand dunes or "sand dudes" as he called them, in St. Anthony, ID. we are still dumping sand out of our shoes, pockets, and anywhere else it may have gotten.

Visiting the new Rexburg temple

This is Little Man and me in front of the temple, my mom didn't give us a warning that she was taking the pic. It was very brite out!

We did alot of visiting and catching up with family. We visited "Cove Fort" on the way home, that was pretty cool.

Hi Everyone!

I didn't fall off the face of the earth, I'm just visiting Idaho right now and my grandparents live so far in the boon-docks that I can't get a cell signal. Right now I'm sitting in my brothers very questionable dorm room! I'll post some pictures soon! Take care.

The Girl in a Whirl by 'Dr. Sue' (a.k. A.. Vickie Gunther)

Look at me, look at me, look at me now!
You could do what I do if you only knew how.
I study the scriptures one hour each day;
I bake, I upholster, I scrub, and I pray.
I always keep all the commandments completely;
I speak to my little ones gently and sweetly.

I help in their classrooms! I sew all they wear!
I drive them to practice! I cut all their hair!
I memorize names of the General Authorities;
I focus on things to be done by priorities.
I play the piano! I bless with my talents!

My toilets all sparkle! My checkbooks all balance!
Each week every child gets a one-on-one date;
I attend all my meetings (on time! Never late!)
I'm taking a class on the teachings of Paul,
But that is not all! Oh, no. That is not all,

I track my bad habits 'til each is abolished;
Our t-shirts are ironed! My toenails are polished!
Our family home evenings are always delightful;
The lessons I give are both fun and insightful.
I do genealogy faithfully, too.
It's easy to do all the things that I do!

I rise each day early, refreshed and awake;
I know all the names of each youth in my stake!
I read to my children! I help all my neighbors!
I bless the community, too, with my labors.
I exercise and I cook menus gourmet;

My visiting teaching is done the first day!
(I also go do it for someone who missed hers.
It's the least I can do for my cherished ward sisters.)
I chart resolutions and check off each goal;
I seek each 'lost lamb' on my Primary roll.

I can home-grown produce each summer and fall.
But that is not all! Oh, no. That is not all,
I write in my journal! I sing in the choir!
Each day, I write 'thank you's' to those I admire.
My sons were all Eagles when they were fourteen!

My kids get straight A's! And their bedrooms are clean!
I have a home business to help make some money;
I always look beautifully groomed for my honey.
I go to the temple at least once a week;
I change the car's tires! I fix the sink's leak!

I grind my own wheat and I bake all our bread;
I have all our meals planned out six months ahead.
I make sure I rotate our two-years' supply;
My shopping for Christmas is done by July!
These things are not hard; 'tis good if you do them;

You can if you try! Just set goals and pursue them!
It's easy to do all the things that I do!
If you plan and work smart, you can do them all, too!

It's easy!' she said and then she dropped dead.

HA HA, ever know someone like this??

Birthday

My birthday was coming up, Little Man asked me what I wanted so I played the mom card.
Me:"I want nice kids who clean up their messes"
LM:"No, what do you want for a present"
Me: "That's what I want for a present"
LM: while giving me a 'you've lost your mind' look- "OKAY, but I still want toys for my birthday"

I had such a great day, Hubbie took me to dinner and then I went and spent my gift cards, so I got lots of summer clothes! Thanks for that to my mom and mom-in-law! And do you know what? All 3 of my "little" brothers remembered my birthday! And so did my grandparents. How nice is that? Gotta love family.

Yoga

I've been going to Dalee's yoga class at church for the past couple of months, I also got a book from the library so I can do it on my own a couple times a week at home. I usually do it at night when the boys are already in bed, but I have done it a few times during the day when the boys are busy playing. I didn't think anyone was noticing, but last night Hubbie said Squirt came into the living room, pulling my yoga mat, he spread it out on the floor, sat down and put his hands up in the air. When Hubbie started laughing he got embarrased and ran into his room. Little Man says that I "play yoga" and he likes to "play" with me too. He's much more flexible than I am!

Dinosaurs

I've been living with a Dinosaur for the past 2 weeks. Some days he's a T-rex, others a velociraptor, others a Carnitorus (this is a T-rex type with horns that lives in southern hemispheres ((I've read TOO many dino books!)) He also wants to be a "Alien-toligist" now too, which is much better than the garbage truck driver that he's wanted to be up until now. We've been practicing digging up dinosaurs in the back yard to get some good training.
