Our Latest Little Addition
This is Bella, Little Man's new love in life. She is a 4 month old miniture schnauzer, Little Man wanted to call her "Bonkers", but they'd been calling her Bella and she was already responding to that, so we'll just leave it. Oddly enough both of her parents are white schnauzers so we'll see what she turns into as she grows. She was un expectedly dropped into our laps yesterday; here's what happened:
So Hubbie's 85 year old grandma and her friend that is just as old if not older decided to breed their white schnauzers, the results were 6 puppies. As a "stud fee" Grandma got one puppy, well she couldn't find anyone that wanted the puppy and she can't really take care of it so she said that she didn't want it. Well then her and her friend got into a big argument over something incredibly petty and Grandma decided she wanted what was rightfully hers: the puppy. Well her friend said that they were all promised to people and that she couldn't have one anymore, only making the problem worse. Well we were up at her Cabin at Mormon Lake this weekend when out of no where the friend and her daughter show up with the puppy in tow. They kept talking like they were trying to convince one of us to take it, but then as they got ready to leave they handed us the dog food and said "here's the dog you wanted, take good care of her" and walked away. We were all like what are we supposed to do now?? Grandma is 85 and can barely keep up with the dog she has, my inlaws live in New River, where between the coyotes, rattlesnakes, and harris hawkes, the dog didn't stand a chance... so that left us. It's supposed to be a temporary situation until Grandma finds someone else to take the dog, unless we want to keep her. Well try telling that to my boys who are so in love with this puppy they're practically smothering her.
Come to think of it, Squirt is probably as dangerous to her as the predators.
Now my other problem is I have to get this guy fixed or we're going to have little "Snackers" running around (that's Hubbie's very inventive word for a Schnauzer/Jack Russel mix)
So we went away for a relaxing weekend and came home with a 14 year commitment... Great!

I hate to laugh, but that's just funny!!! And little snackers puppies would be so cute! Good luck with the new dog.
Congratulations. I think a snacker would be a cute dog.
ha! that is so funny especially the part about the fight the elderly got into...i can only picture how it would be (jake has a grandmother that age too). good luck with the situation/commitment
Cooper needed someone to play with. He just doesn't realize what it will cost him!
