Well, she did it. She went and turned 1 even though I begged her not to. She weighed in at 20lbs. 5 oz. 29 inches long. Even though I feel like she's a beast she was only in the 40th- 50th percentile for her height/ weight. She welcomed in her 1st birthday with a 2nd tooth.
I made her a cupcake skirt & onesie. She is making a really wierd face here, but if you look close you can see her teeny little tooth:)
I went with a ladybug theme. And I made this cake! It was pretty awesome if I do say so myself. I've been practicing playing with fondant over the last couple of months, and I'm pretty pleased with it, although if you ask Squirt he'll tell you I might have had a mental breakdown in the middle of making it. It involved alot of yelling:(
Then we opened presents. She got a small fisher price kitchen that she LOVED! I was so excited. Although it got taken over pretty quick by the bigger kids in the room. She also got some clothes and a book that sings that she also LOVES. She loves books and loves songs, so it's a perfect combo!
And then there was the cake! The bottom portion of the lady bug cake was chocolate and red velvet, for the guests. The top of the cake was for her to smash! (I did take off the black fondant first tho!)
I thought she'd just plunge her hands in and go to town, but instead she just buried her face. It was SO FUNNY!
Happy Birthday Baby Girl. Can't imagine life with out you! I love you!
